Problem with importing Cake hands + "division by 0 error"

Before some time I downloaded and installed Beta 4 and it was working fine, but I wasnt using it much. Today I decided that I want to see the graph and play around a bit, but something strange happened and when browsing the "Reports" tab I got the "Attempted to divide by zero." error. After that I noticed that the program doesn't import hands anymore.

I reinstalled (with the latest version - Beta 5), but nothing changed, tried to delete the Database and make a brand new one, but same error occurred, except that now I can't import hands at all - it says "Session Uptade Complete: 0 hands successfully updated"

OS Used - Windows XP Professional SP2
Sharp Stats version - Error 1st occurred in Beta 4, persists with Beta 5

Thank you for reporting the divide by zero error. I will try to get it fixed as soon as I'm back from vacation.

As for the not importing problem, did you move all of your hands back to their original folders?

Yes I did, I also tried changing the Working Directory (as you mentioned in another topic) but it doesn't help.

Right now I did nothing different from what I was doing before, but when I pressed "Import Now" Sharp Stats imported exactly 3 files worth of hand histories (all from 07th of February this year, from Turbo-6max tables) and even though I have a lot more in the original folder it simply doesn't import them.
(here I should mention that after SOME hands were imported I no longer get a "Division by 0" error)

Btw how do I reinstall a fresh copy of Sharp Stats? I'm pretty sure that some reg files or something similar are left behind after an Uninstall, so when I install my new copy it doesn't seem so "new". There are so many ppl using Sharp Stats so maybe I did something wrong and a fresh start would be cool but I don't know where to look tongue

Thanks for the quick answer btw! It's a really nice thing that you are doing and I hope one day you improve your soft to the level of HEM and PT3, so you can actually make some money out of it happy

This shouldn't have come up in the first place. I thought that I had set traps to prevent it from happening, but I obviously missed one. It will be fixed in the next update.

Delete all files in the Program Files\SharpStats Personal Tracker folder
Then, delete all of the settings files in the [My] Documents\SSPT folder
SharpStats doesn't use any registry keys, so there are none to delete. Technically, the installer software does add one, but it is never used. You could run a search for SharpStats in your registry if you wanted to do a complete scrub.

Unfortunately, you are not the first to report this problem. I just can't reproduce it, so there's no way me to fix a problem I can't find. There are only three things that I can think of that you might want to check/try:
1. Make sure that you don't have any files from other sites in your Cake import folder
2. Make sure that you don't have any files that are older than Jul 1, 2008 in your import folder
3. Try checking the "Include Subfolders" checkbox when you set up your import folder.

BTW, are all of the hand histories from Cake, or are you having trouble with other sites?

1. I didn't have any hands beside Cake hands, just some tournaments mixed in with the other things
2. All files were from 2010
3. I never did that before, assuming I don't have to if everything is in the same folder. No idea weather it was the problem or not, but I have it checked now.

Anyway, a complete reinstall seemed to do the trick - everything works properly.
