You need to click the Initialize Database button before attempting to import your hand histories.

You need to click the Initialize Tournament Database button even if you do not have any tournament hand histories.

In order to insure that none of your hand histories are damaged, SharpStats will not move any files that have hand histories from the date that they are imported. SharpStats also verifies that a file with the same name does not exist in the working directory before moving the current file.

Right around this date, Cake upgraded their client software to improve the generated hand histories. The hand histories that were created prior to this date were lacking a lot of information that SharpStats uses to display your statitistics.

I can accept site transfers from Cake, Full Tilt, or Stars. I also have affiliate programs set up through a couple of poker-related sites if you are looking for coaching or rakeback. Please free to email me or send me a PM through the forum.

Unfortunately, I do not know of any way to do this. Visit the postgresql website for more information.

6/16/2009 Update:
In order to log into PostgreSQL when you have forgotten the password, you must uninstall, delete the postgres user account, and then reinstall.

To remove the postgres user account:
Go to Start-->Run
Enter 'CMD' (without the quotes) and click OK
Type 'net user postgres /delete'  (again, without the quotes)
If you get a operation failed message and are running Windows Vista, turn off User Account Control and try again.

Try entering 'dbpass' or 'postgrespass' (without the quotes). These are the defaults for a couple of the most popular trackers on the market.

You are running an old version of PostgreSQL. Upgrade to the latest version (8.3 as of the writing of this FAQ) by visiting www.postgresql.org.

SharpStats requires Microsoft .NET 2.0 or newer and PostgreSQL version 8.3 and newer.

There are no specific hardware requirements.  However, a dual-core processor is highly recommended.

99% of people will be able to connect to their PostgreSQL database with the following:
Server:  127.0.0.1
Port:  5432
User ID:  postgres

Now, when you installed PostgreSQL, you were prompted to enter a password.  Use that password for SharpStats.  If you had Poker Tracker or HoldEm Manager install PostgreSQL for you, try 'dbpass' or 'postgrespass' (without the quotes).  If you can't remember your password and the HeM and PT passwords don't work, you will need to uninstall PostgreSQL, delete the postgres user, and reinstall PostgreSQL.

This problem was caused by a large code reorganization that occured with v1.01 beta 4.  Luckily, there does seem to be a way to correct this.

Uninstall SharpStats
Delete the x:\Program Files\SharpStats Personal Tracker folder
Move all of your archived hand histories out of the [My] Documents\SSPT\Archive folder back into their respective import folders
Delete the [My] Documents\SSPT folder
Install the latest version of SharpStats (v1.01 official at this time)
